Below are the goals of the staff, volunteers and Board of AFAC. Beneath each goal are some steps to be taken to each that goal. Also include are some bullet points that help expand on each goal.

3. AFAC Will Provide A Clean, Safe Environment |

Establish a Maintenance Task Force to determine needed items in office and warehouse areas and develop maintenance plan and a budget request for those items; the plan will include a list of problems and proposed solutions |

Establish a Site Task Force on space issues, to coordinate with other nonprofits, looking for bigger space, after undertaking a long-term needs assessment |

Consider renting storage space as needed after food drives |

4. AFAC Will Have An Adequate, High Quality Food Supply |

Charge the Food Committee with developing a plan for year-round targeted food drives including recommendations on the use of possible savings from the drives |

Charge the Food Committee to reassess the client menu every 6 months, with solicitation for client input as appropriate – to include current sourcing, potential new/alternative sourcing of current items, potential new programs and substitutions |

Charge the Personnel Committee with completing the Staffing Analysis currently being done, with goal of optimizing current and future paid staff positions |

Staff will have clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and staff/board interaction will be optimized for efficiency Board members and others will have clearly defined parameters for staff interaction regarding any requests |
