How to Help

You can help the Arlington Food Assistance Center in a wide variety of ways. Your time commitment can be as much or as little as you are able to give. You can help on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. If you cannot commit even to that kind of a schedule, you can put your name on the list as a substitute or just to work special projects like periodic area food drives.

You can work directly with clients by helping with food distribution on any weekday morning, Thursday evening, or Saturday morning (it only takes about two hours).

You can help bag food for distribution on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday evening (it only takes about one hour). You can pick up donations from area bakeries, grocery stores, or local Farmers' Markets.

Help in the Office
You can help with data entry and receptionist duties, newsletter production, grant applications, etc.

If you are willing to help, we can find something for you to do. Please call Nancy Cude, Volunteer Coordinator, at (703) 845-8486 or e-mail her at AFACNancy@aol.com.
